My Wists!

So, over on craftster...(where I spend a huge amount of my internet time), I've been noticing that people have wists. Wists? I think this is a combo of two words wish list. So I have caved in and created my own wist. I have a wish list on Amazon.ca of all the books I would someday like to purchase, so I thought why not do this too. It will help me keep track of all the things that I desire. I feel really weird about it since I don't consider myself a material person. I think most things on my 'wist' will end up being crafting supplys.

On another note, I finally had "One Skein" come from Amazon. I do love it. The first project I'm trying is the unisex gloves. They have this really cute little waffle like design in the cuff. It is giving me trouble though since I've started and restarted them about 10 times. This isn't my first dpn project or my first cable project so I'm not sure why I'm having so much difficulty with it. My opinion is that Kev is after chewing on the end of one of my beautiful bamboo dpn's and it tends to nick at the yarn! So each time I frog it, I blame him. He is always chewing on the end of my needles!!!

I am starting a new bag too! It seems to be my favorite type of project lately! Its for my friend Linda's bday. Its very, very easy so its sure to be a quick knit. I hope she likes it

My First Swap !!!

I've been so busy just crafting my little heart out for a girl in Edmonton! Yes I've signed on for a swap on craftster and I'm so excited about it. I'm making some nice goodies for her but I don't want to post them yet (on the very off chance that she may somehow stumble upon this site) I want her to be surprised!

I'm going to be receiving from a girl in Toronto. I've seen some of her stuff on craftster and it is so beautiful. Its gonna be like Christmas!

Edited...July 27. I have sent my items to her. I'm so, so excited. This is like Christmas in July. Really. All this giving and recieving! I hope she like it!

Zeeby's Bag is now Hedder's Bag

Heather's birthday is on Tuesday, and I've finished her bag just in time. I hope she likes it. There's enough room in there to carry around a load of stuff. I lined it too with some material from an old dress that I dismantled. I feel it is missing something. I'd like to add a fabric flower, but I don't know it Heather is the flowery type of girl.

Zeeby's Bag

So I've started to knit a new bag. The pattern is by Tina Paredes and its in Stitch'n Bitch. I'm knitting it in Bernat Caress. Its an acrylic blend supposed to mimic mohair. Hey, I'd rather be using real mohair, but I must stay within a budget! I love the colour! Its a lovely pink, I think I may do the trim wit black. We'll see.

Here's the Real Oprah.

Yeah, in case you were wondering what she really looked like.

Oprah Monkfrey

Craftster Challenge #13. Okay I wasn't going to do this, since Amy is out of town and I still haven't mastered the art of uploading photos, but I couldn't resist. The challenge was to make a sock monkey of someone you admire. Now, tell me who is more admirable than the amazing Oprah!

Guiding Mosaic 2006

Well, Amy is off on another adventure. She left for Guelph today. She's going for 2 1/2 weeks. I'll miss her for sure. She did this really great recon before she left. It was inspired by a tank top that her friend Shandi got at American Eagle. I can't wait for her to get back, I'm sure she'll have loads of stories.

What to do with These???

I was telling my boss that I'd like to craft something from old neck ties and he brought me in a bagful of these!!! I'm not sure what I'll do with them, but they sure are pretty. Especially the big green one. Its even prettier in person. I'll get some ideas off of www.craftster.org for sure!! He says the skinny ones are very, very old. I think I'll hit up all the men coming into the store for their old ties.
